Mike Ribeiro also scored for Nashville, winners of four straight and six of seven.
Curtis McElhinney made 40 saves for Columbus, which lost its sixth in a row.
''Jarny got it over to Smitty, good shot, and I just had to put it in the empty net,'' Wilson said. ''I was going to be frustrated if one didn't end up going in, so it was nice.
''It's fun playing right now, and it's a fun line to be on.''
Wilson has six points in seven games.
''He's been excellent all year,'' Nashville coach Peter Laviolette said. ''He's one of those guys that maybe the points weren't coming at the beginning of the year maybe as frequently as he would like, but again that's something that we don't really talk about internally.''
Ribeiro scored the first goal, at 12:47 of the second period. He got the rebound of Roman Josi's errant shot behind the net, carried the puck out on the right side, and slipped a shot by McElhinney.
McElhinney had stopped Nashville's first 30 shots before Ribeiro scored. McElhinney was making his first appearance since Nov. 14.
''He gave us a chance to win that game if we'd found a way to score a couple more goals,'' Johansen said. ''We just came up short.''
Johansen tied it 1-1 with a power-play goal at 3:48 of the third period.
''We've got to find ways to win hockey games,'' Columbus coach Todd Richards said. ''Our goaltender was very good, kept us in it. (We) found a way to tie it up, had a chance. I'm just talking about getting it to OT, getting a point, but obviously we failed at that.''
The goal ended Rinne's shutout streak at 127 minutes, 5 seconds. He has an NHL-best 16 wins this season.
''Their power play, they tried to make some low plays, and that's how they got their one goal,'' Rinne said. ''Obviously, other than that, they didn't have a lot of shots. Overall, I thought that was a great game by us from start to finish.''
Rinne finished with 21 saves.
Nashville came up empty in four power-play attempts and is an NHL-worst 1 for 41 at home this season.
NOTES: Nashville D Seth Jones played in his 100th NHL game. ... Predators C Matt Cullen returned after missing one game with an upper-body injury. ... Johansen has goals in two of his last three games. ... Columbus has eight wins in 40 trips to Nashville.
