Vegas Golden Knights Flip Trevor van Riemsdyk to Carolina

The Vegas Golden Knights Didn't Take Long to Start Wheeling and Dealing, and One of Those Deals Involved Selection Trevor van Riemsdyk.

The Carolina Hurricanes were the lucky team to acquire Trevor van Riemsdyk from the Vegas Golden Knights but it cost them a second-round pick to do so. However, Trevor can come in and fill a top four pairing role with Carolina who already has a solid d-core full of young guys that will only get better.

The 25-year-old van Riemsdyk made his NHL debut in 2014-15 with Chicago when he played in only 18 games scoring just a single point, he also played with Rockford in the AHL putting up three points in eight games. In 2015-16 van Riemsdyk sees a spike in points and games played, with 14 points in a full 82 game season. And last year he upped his point totals again with 16 in fewer games, 58 to be exact.

I myself have done countless Vegas mock drafts and in every single one, I had them selecting van Riemsdyk because he has a ton of potential and works extremely hard.

But what I never saw coming was the team flipping him for a draft pick. This came hours after his selection and he's going to do extremely well in Carolina, especially if he's paired with Justin Faulk.
