An official’s error almost robbed Calgary Flames rookie Corban Knight of the opportunity to take home proof of his first NHL goal. The goal itself was never in doubt — it clearly beat dejected Anaheim Ducks goalie Frederik Andersen in the final minutes of the Flames’ 7-2 rout Thursday night.
But as the 23-year-old Knight celebrated his milestone, linesman Lonnie Cameron scooped up the puck and casually flipped it to a young fan in the first row.
