Toronto Maple Leafs Rookies Continue to Set Records.
Saturday night against the Red Wings just wasn't a win for Toronto, it was the final night for the Wings in the Joe Louis arena, but was also a night of records. The Leafs have reached 91 points so far in the season, their highest since the lockout and there's still five games left. Auston Matthews put up his eighth game-winning goal tying the rookie record set by Howie Meeker in 1946-47. He also tied another record now that he's put up 66 points in 77 games, Peter Ihnacek put up 66 in 80 in 1982-82, and he also tied another putting up the most goals by a U.S born rookie since Neal Broten in 1981-82. And yes someone threw an octopus on the ice! (Tip Of The Tower)

Chicago Clinches Top Seed in the West.
For the first time since the 2012-13 lockout season, the Chicago Blackhawks have clinched the Central Division. It's also number 16 in franchise history, sitting at 107 points the Blackhawks could very well end up passing Washington who sits at 110. (Blackhawk Up)

Dallas Ends Carolina's Point Streak.
The Hurricanes went on a staggering 13 game point streak dating all the way back to March seventh. They were hunting down the Bruins for the final wild-card spot and had Toronto in their sights as well. Unfortunately for the Hurricanes, Dallas came along and spoiled the party. Plus Toronto beat Detroit putting them second in the Atlantic and now Boston has 90 points in the final spot while Carolina sits at 84 with a long shot of reaching the playoffs now. (Cardiac Cane)

St. Louis Recalls Kenny Agostino for More Depth.
St. Louis is poised for a playoff appearance and due to injuries, they had to emergency recall Kenny Agostino for more depth. He's been around the NHL around for a while but has yet to stay in an NHL lineup, now he'll have his time to shine granted St. Louis has so many injuries. If Kenny can make good on his stint he could very well stay into the playoffs and maybe become a regular next season. (Arch Authority)

The Isles Didn't Make the Right Choice With Who They Recalled
John Tavares went down with injury, and with no one on the roster left to fill a spot due to injuries, the Isles had to resort to the AHL and who they called up doesn't make a lot of sense. They called up Connor Jones, a guy who plays center on the fourth line in Bridgeport, while some think he's not in the building plan, an opportunity is an opportunity I suppose. (Eyes On Isles)

Philadelphia Goalie Michal Neuvirth Collapses on Ice During First Period.
A scary moment occurred early in the first period for the Flyers, out of nowhere Michal Neuvirth collapsed on the ice. It's yet to be known if it's a heart attack or cardiac arrest, either way, it's a very scary thing. Something that's happened a few times in the NHL, Chris Pronger, Ondrej Pavelec, and Jiri Fischer were all victims of this. Fischer was forced to retire, however, In Michal's case his teammates said he wasn't feeling well before the game, so hopefully it was just fatigue and he passed out. Everyone in the hockey world, everyone here at FanSided, Puck Prose, and I hope he comes out perfectly fine. (Fansided)
