Minnesota Wild Acquire Salituro for Jordan Schroeder

The Minnesota Wild Have Acquired Prospect Dante Salituro from the Columbus Blue Jackets in Exchange for Center Jordan Schroeder.

The Minnesota Wild have acquired prospect Dante Salituro from the Columbus Blue Jackets for center Jordan Schroder. Salituro spent last season with the OHL's London Knights where he tallied 22 points and 18 penalty minutes in 30 games. He also played in the ECHL putting up one point in seven games before playing five games for the Cleveland Monsters in the AHL.

    The 20-year-old Salituro began his OHL career during the 2012-13 season for the Ottawa 67's where he played four seasons. His first year he posted 40 points then went up to 59 the next season. In 2014-15 he put up 78 and last season posted 83 showing steady progression. But declined when he started in the pros. He still has a ton of upside though.

    Schroeder the former first round pick in 2009 by Vancouver before moving to the Wild. In 144 career NHL games, Schroeder posted 40 points and 10 penalty minutes with a plus 10 rating. During 292 AHL games, however, Schroeder managed 195 points but finished as a minus nine.

    Schroeder will definitely come in the Columbus and play a bottom six role which is what he's known for, as for Salituro he'll be playing in the AHL next season for the Iowa Wild to further work on his pro game.
