Reports: Gardiner re-signs with Leafs for 5 years, $20.25 million

Restricted free agent Jake Gardiner has re-signed with the Toronto Maple Leafs, according to multiple reports.

The deal is said to be worth $20.25 million and run through the 2018-19 season.

Gardiner has played 167 games with the Maples Leafs from 2011 to 2014, recording 17 goals and 48 assists along with a minus-5 rating. He posted career highs of 10 goals and 31 points last season.

The 24-year-old from Minnesota was the 17th overall pick by the Anaheim Ducks in the 2008 draft.
