Shayne Gostisbehere has only been able to legally drink alcohol for a few years, but he already has a beer named after him.
This week, the Philadelphia Flyers defenseman, affectionately known as “Ghost Bear,” received the honor courtesy of the Conshohocken Brewery in Bridgeport, PA. The brewery announced the arrival of the Ghost Bear Golden Ale on Tuesday.
That's a pretty cool name for a brew, though I also would have accepted “Gostisbeer” or “Ghost Beer.” Either way, it also comes in a pretty awesome can featuring the Flyers' team colors.
At 23 years old, Gostisbehere has quite the resumé already. Not only has he captained Union College to an NCAA championship, become an immediate force on the Flyers' blue line and been named Philly's Pro Athlete of the Year, now he's got his own booze to toast his accomplishments with.
Coming this Friday, GHOST BEAR Golden Ale in cans and on draft at both locations. Drinks clean and delicious! pic.twitter.com/WyY5AN3At9
