– ERIN, Wis. – Brooks Koepka played in India and South Africa, Kenya and Kazakhstan. He was ready to come home. And that makes his U.S. Open victory even more special.

– WASHINGTON – The Supreme Court strikes down part of a law that bans offensive trademarks in a ruling expected to help the Washington Redskins and Cleveland Indians.

– They’re called Pro Days, visits and tryouts set up by agencies representing NBA draft hopefuls. They’ve become a big part of the evaluation process.

– Washington’s Markelle Fultz and UCLA’s Lonzo Ball headline the list of top-tier point guards in the NBA draft and could go 1-2 Thursday.

– CLEVELAND – The Cleveland Cavaliers enter a pivotal summer and it’s unclear if general manager David Griffin will be staying with the team he guided to three straight NBA Finals.

– LOS ANGELES – Hall of Famer Jerry West is back in Los Angeles. He joins the Los Angeles Clippers in an advisory role to Doc Rivers, coach and vice president of basketball operations.

– With the NHL expansion draft approaching, Vegas Golden Knights general manager George McPhee holds the cards for a significant chunk of the league’s talent.

– BALTIMORE – Back in first in the AL Central after a four-game sweep of Minnesota, the Cleveland Indians open a series against the Baltimore Orioles. Game starts 7:05 p.m.

– LOS ANGELES – The Dodgers start Clayton Kershaw (9-2) against the injury-battered New York Mets. Los Angeles is a game out of first in the NL West. Game starts 10 p.m.

– HOUSTON – The first-place Houston Astros are forced to scramble with four-fifths of their rotation on the disabled list.

– CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Brad Keselowski pretty much eliminated himself as a possible replacement for Dale Earnhardt Jr., yet still hasn’t signed an extension with Team Penske.

– Two College World Series games in Omaha, Nebraska: Cal State Fullerton vs. Florida State (2 p.m.); Oregon State vs. LSU (7 p.m.).

– SOCHI, Russia – World Cup champion Germany plays its Confederations Cup opener against Asian champion Australia. Germany is testing new players in this World Cup warmup event.
