Anaheim Ducks are back in first place in the Pacific Division with their win over the Senators.

The Anaheim Ducks’ early, fresh, and hot start in the first period leads them to a dominant win.

Anaheim scored 3 goals in the first period off of power plays. They started strong as well as finished strong.

This team is learning to play a complete game and accomplished this on both sides of the ice.

It is if they have finally come together and now can reel in the victories. After winning a certain amount of games, then they could rest if need be.

Therefore, no player is easily injured with all the wear and tear on their body.

The offense was clicking the entire game scoring in each period.

Anaheim scored 5 total goals, scoring once in the second and third period.

Corey Perry scored one of the three goals in the beginning, along with Antoine Vermette, and Joseph Cramarossa.

In the 2nd period Nick Ritchie scored and Sami Vatanen scored in the 3rd period.

The defense struggled in the first period barely by allowing one goal, yet shut their opponent down in the 2nd and 3rd periods.

John Gibson once again had a wonderful night, only allowing one goal in a victory over the Ottawa Senators. Gibson had 21 saves off of 22 shots.

Ducks defenders only allowed 1 power play goal which was the lone goal scored on them.

Gibson and the Ducks also had 15 blocks to their counterparts eight. The Ducks goalie had another nearly flawless game once again.

Once again this game proved to everyone that excellence doesn’t happen over night, it takes time since it is a process. Sometimes the process can be quick or take awhile.

Since the process can go either way, they can still be in the process. After this game it seemed as if they are progressing through the process and continually improving.

Since the beginning of the season, head coach Randy Carlyle and the Ducks have been looking for ways to play a complete game.

Lastly, tonight the Ducks did that and there are plenty more games just like this to happen this season.

Their next test will be Tuesday in Dallas.
