Devils name Laperriere assistant coach

Laperriere has been coaching for more than 20 seasons after an 11-season Hall- of-Fame playing career. He will be the fourth assistant on Burns' staff, joining John MacLean, Bobby Carpenter and goaltending coach Jacques Caron.
He was a member of six Stanley Cup championship teams with the Montreal
"Jacques Laperriere brings a wealth of hockey knowledge and experience, as well as respect to our organization," said general manager Lou Lamoriello. "With the addition of Jacques to our full-time staff, along with Special Assignment Coach Larry Robinson, our young defensemen will have two of the best teachers in the game today."
