News: Polak picked up an assist while seeing a team-high 26:06 of ice time in Saturday's overtime loss to the Canadiens.
Impact: Polak outpaced the rest of his mates in ice time by nearly two minutes. While he can't be expected to provide much offensive production, Polak could notice improvement in his already lofty hits and blocks totals if his ice time continues to rise from here. It's certainly conceivable that the Leafs may lean on Polak more, as Cody Franson has been trying to play through a hip ailment and Dion Phaneuf (hand) remains on injured reserve.
