The Washington Capitals jumped three places into the No. 2 spot in the rankings thanks to the helping hand of John Carlson. The 21-year-old blueliner dished out four assists in Washington's three Week 25 games, helping the Caps pick up five points in the team's two wins and one shootout loss. Carlson was at his best Thursday night against Columbus, when his seventh goal of the year opened the scoring against the Blue Jackets and his 30th assist helped Washington win it in overtime.

Who lent a helping hand on your favorite team last week? Read on to find out.

(Note: The Power Rankings will be based on a formula of points earned divided by the maximum amount of points possible [points/games played x 2]. In case of a tie, categories such as wins, goals against, goals for, power play goals and power play percentage will determine rankings.)

(.590) While Chicago comes into the final week of the regular season as one of the top eight seeds in the West, the team needs to play better hockey down the home stretch if it wants a chance to defend its Cup title. The Blackhawks lost two of four last week, failing to score a goal in either of its losses.

(.456) Once again Al Montoya put on an impressive performance between the pipes for the Islanders. Facing the New York Rangers -- the club that drafted him in the first round in 2004 -- Montoya stood on his head in the Isles' only win of the week, stopping 25 of the 27 shots the Blueshirts fired his way in a 6-2 win on Long Island.
