News: Wilson (lower body) saw 15:16 of ice time in Saturday's loss to the Blues. Impact: After missing the Caps' previous two games, Wilson entered the contest as a game-time decision, but ended up seeing a relatively normal amount of ice time. Though he didn't record any points and finished with a minus-2 rating on the evening, he did produce seven penalty minutes and six hits to give some value to those who own him in specialty formats.(RotoWire, )

News: Wilson will be a game-time decision for Saturday's game against the Blues. Impact: Wilson will participate in pregame warmups before the team decides whether or not he'll suit up in the contest. He's missed the previous two games with the lower-body injury.(RotoWire, )

News: Coach Barry Trotz said that Wilson (lower body) has been ruled out from playing Friday against the Devils, but remains a possible option for Saturday's game against the Blues, Alex Prewitt of the Washington Post reports. Impact: Trotz indicated that while Wilson is recovering well from the injury, he didn't feel comfortable with using the forward in back-to-back games. Though he'll miss his third straight game, there's a good chance he'll slot back in on the Caps' top line Saturday if he can make it through the morning skate without incident.(RotoWire, )

News: Coach Barry Trotz upgraded Wilson to questionable for Friday's game against the Devils, but the forward is still considered more likely to make his return to the lineup Saturday versus the Blues, Alex Prewitt of the Washington Post reports. Impact: The Capitals seemed to initially rule Wilson out entirely for Friday after he was limited to skating on his own the last few days, but his participation in practice in a non-contact capacity Thursday morning seems to have improved his outlook. Wilson acknowledged that while he was closing in on 100 percent health, it still seems more likely that the Capitals will hold him out to Saturday, just so he's not overextending himself by playing back-to-back nights right away coming off the injury.(RotoWire, )

News: Wilson (lower body) is hoping to return to the lineup Saturday against the Blues, Alex Prewitt of the Washington Post reports. Impact: Wilson was able to skate for the second straight day, but his lack of participation during practice will probably preclude him from playing in the final game of the Caps' homestand Friday against the Devils. Instead, he'll travel with the team for its three-game road trip, and could be available as soon as Saturday night if he's able to skate earlier that day without any setbacks.(RotoWire, )

News: Wilson (lower body) didn't practice Wednesday, Alex Prewitt of the Washington Post reports. Impact: Both Wilson and fellow injured forward Brooks Laich were able to take to the ice for Tuesday's morning skate, but the absence of both from practice Wednesday would seem to suggest neither has been cleared for contact just yet. The Capitals won't play their next game until Friday against the Devils, giving Wilson another day to potentially practice and state his case for a return to game action.(RotoWire, )
