News: Nick Bjugstad scored 21 seconds into the game and the Florida Panthers edged the Carolina Hurricanes 1-0 on Wednesday night despite an injury to Luongo. Impact: The veteran goalie made 11 saves before leaving with 9:38 left in the second period with an upper-body injury. Luongo was replaced by Montoya, who stopped 22 shots in his sixth appearance of the season. "It's not going to be that serious; we'll know more tomorrow," Panthers coach Gerard Gallant said of Luongo's injury. (STATS, 11:19am)

News: Coach Gerard Gallant said that the upper-body injury suffered by Luongo in Wednesday's win over the Hurricanes isn't considered serious, George Richards of the Miami Herald reports. Impact: While the Panthers are viewing Luongo as day-to-day after he was reevaluated Thursday morning, he's already been ruled out for Friday's game against the Senators and could be forced to miss a few more contests beyond that. The Panthers will go with Al Montoya, who preserved Luongo's shutout bid in relief Wednesday, as their primary netminder for the time being, with the newly-recalled Dan Ellis slotting in as his backup.(RotoWire, )

News: Luongo suffered an upper-body injury during Wednesday's game and will not return, George Richards of the Miami Herald reports. Impact: The Panthers do not believe Luongo's injury is serious, but he was unable to continue after being injured in the second period. Expect an update on his status as more details become available.(RotoWire, )

News: Luongo left Wednesday's game against the Hurricanes early in the second period, George Richards of the Miami Herald reports. Impact: It is not clear what is wrong with Luongo, but he had stopped all 11 shots he faced before being replaced by Al Montoya. Luongo's status should be made available shortly.(RotoWire, )

News: Luongo will be in the crease Wednesday against the Hurricanes, George Richards of the Miami Herald reports. Impact: Luongo has dropped four his last five decisions to bring his record to 6-5-5 on the season, but has only had one truly poor outing in that quintet. Instead, it's the lack of goal support that's primarily been his undoing recently and for most of the season, as the Panthers have averaged 2.2 goals per game over their last five contests.(RotoWire, )

News: Luongo let in three goals on 38 shots in Monday's 4-1 loss to the Wild. Impact: Luongo played well enough to win the game for Florida, but like we have seen too many times this season, his teammates could not find the back of the net enough to support him. Going into Monday's game, Bobby Lou was ranked 13th in the league with 459 saves. He's faced 30-plus shots in 10 of 16 starts -- a big reason why he'll most likely finish in the top 10 in saves this season. Don't let the losses scare you -- he's been playing excellently in goal, and if he can get a little scoring help, he'll find the win column more regularly.(RotoWire, )

News: Luongo will start in net Monday against the Wild, George Richards of the Miami Herald reports. Impact: Luongo has hit a rough patch lately, going 1-1-2 in his last four starts, but has played well over that span. He dropped his last game in overtime to the Predators, but made an impressive 48 saves on 50 shots in the loss.(RotoWire, )

News: Luongo made 48 saves through regulation and allowed just one goal in the shootout in Saturday's 3-2 loss to Nashville. Impact: Bobby Lou seems to be at his best when he sees a lot of rubber and we all know that's a guarantee with the Floridian felines. He won't deliver a lot of wins, but his ratios will help you.(RotoWire, )

News: Luongo will start Saturday's game against the Predators, Steve Goldstein of Fox Sports Florida reports. Impact: Luongo backstopped the team to a win his last time out, allowing two goals on 30 shots against the Sharks. He currently has a .922 save percentage and a 2.40 GAA for the season.(RotoWire, )
Fri. Nov 21, 2014
News: Luongo saved 28 of 30 and stopped two of three shootout attempts in Thursday's win over the Sharks. Impact: While the veteran goalie's had trouble getting into a rhythm lately and has still lost four of his last six starts (two in overtime), he's still providing owners with strong rate stats. Luongo's now made 14 starts this year, equaling the number he made with Florida after coming over via trade last season, and his stat line has been amazingly consistent with last year's. His total goals allowed (33 last year, 32 this year), GAA (2.46, 2.40), save percentage (.924, .9222), number of shutouts (one) and record (6-7-1, 6-4-4) are near-perfect clones.(RotoWire, )
Thu. Nov 20, 2014
News: Luongo will receive the start in goal Thursday against the Sharks, Steve Goldstein of FOX Sports Florida reports. Impact: Luongo guided the Panthers to a 4-1 win over the Sharks the last time the two teams met on Nov. 11, stopping 21 of 22 shots in the victory. He's since stumbled his last two times out after that, but still owns a respectable 2.45 GAA and .921 save percentage over his 31 outings this season.(RotoWire, )

News: Luongo was pulled after two periods Tuesday after giving up four goals on 25 shots against the Kings. Impact: As he's been generally reliable all year for the Panthers, it's surprising to see Luongo get himself yanked for the first time since Oct. 11. While it's his second four-goal evening in four games and he's only won once in that span, Luongo should bounce back in no time -- at least in terms of rate stats.(RotoWire, )
Tue. Nov 18, 2014
News: Luongo will be in the net Tuesday against the Kings, Steve Goldstein of FOX Sports Florida reports. Impact: Luongo has been a victim of a lack of goal support from his mates all season, so it had to be frustrating for the netminder to watch backup Al Montoya benefit from the Panthers' six-goal outburst in Sunday's spot start. In spite of having to carry the team most nights, Luongo still owns a winning record (5-3-4) to match his shiny ratios (2.24 GAA, .927 save percentage) in his 12 appearances this season.(RotoWire, )
Fri. Nov 14, 2014
News: Luongo made 30 saves and posted a .912% save percentage, but lost 4-3 in a shootout to the Islanders Friday. Impact: Although Luongo was credited with the loss in Friday's contest, he did move past John Vanbiesbrouck into fifth place on the NHL's all-time saves list. Luongo has gone 2-1-2 in the month of November and is making an average of 28 saves a game in that span. If your pool rewards saves, Luongo will continue to make plenty playing with Florida this season.(RotoWire, )
Fri. Nov 14, 2014
News: Luongo will be in the crease for Friday's game against the Islanders, George Richards of the Miami Herald reports. Impact: Luongo has played well this month, posting a .932 save percentage by giving up just eight goals on 118 shots. The Panthers will need him to remain sharp Friday against an Islanders squad that enters Friday night having won four straight games.(RotoWire, )
