He appeared to be on track for Thursday's contest, but was ruled out in a game-time decision and now will miss Saturday as well.(RotoWire, )

News: Coach Ken Hitchcock said that Stastny (upper body) will not play Thursday against the Ducks, Eric Stephens of the Orange County Register reports. Impact: Stastny looked poised to make his return from injured reserve after taking part in the team's morning skate, but it appears he was just a placeholder for T.J. Oshie, who was diagnosed with a concussion and unable to take the ice. On a more encouraging note, Stastny does seem to be very close to a return based on his on-ice participation the last several days, so he could return for Saturday's game against Colorado.(RotoWire, )

News: Stastny (upper body) was on the ice for Thursday's morning skate and appears on track to play against the Ducks, Lou Korac of NHL.com reports. Impact: Stastny skated as the second-line right wing, suggesting the Blues plan on having him available later in the evening. He hasn't been officially activated from injured reserve just yet, but an announcement could come in the hours leading up to the game. Stastny's return to the lineup would be a boon for the Blues regardless of the circumstances, but it would be an especially welcome development after both T.J. Oshie and David Backes were diagnosed with concussions and ruled out indefinitely earlier in the day.(RotoWire, )

News: Coach Ken Hitchcock said Stastny (upper body) is not being ruled out for Thursday's game against the Ducks, NHL.com's Lou Korac reports. Impact: Stastny was on the ice at Wednesday's optional session for a third straight day, but it doesn't sound like he's resumed taking much contact, making it more likely than not that he sits out Thursday. Still, the feeling from the Blues is that Stastny is making progress and is close to a return. Keep stashing him on your bench until he's given the green light to return.(RotoWire, )

News: Stastny (upper body) skated Tuesday morning, Chris Pinkert of NHL.com reports. Impact: It was the second straight day on the ice for Stastny, who is still awaiting clearance to participate in full practice with his teammate. Coach Ken Hitchcock indicated Monday that he's hopeful Stastny will be able to do that by the end of the week, but at this juncture, a return shouldn't be considered imminent.(RotoWire, )

News: Stastny (upper body) practiced with teammates Monday, but was not taking contact and didn't take part in all drills, according to Jeremy Rutherford of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. Impact: While his return to the ice is a positive sign, Stastny won't get back into a game until he can take contact in practice. His week-to-week status remains unchanged.(RotoWire, )

News: Stastny (upper body) skated Monday morning, Lou Korac of NHL.com reports. Impact: Stastny is eligible to be activated off IR as soon as he's ready, but it's doubtful he'll be healthy enough to suit up for Tuesday's game against the Stars. The Blues signed Stastny as a free agent in the offseason, and the center got off to a nice start in St. Louis before getting injured, racking up a goal and three assists in his first four games.(RotoWire, )

News: Stastny (upper body) has been able to skate the last two days, NHL.com's Lou Korac reports. Impact: It seems as though Stastny has returned to the ice strictly for conditioning purposes, as he hasn't attempted shots or taken any contact yet. The Blues remain steadfast in their belief that a lengthy absence isn't in store for Stastny, but it's looking increasingly unlikely that he'll be back before the end of the month.(RotoWire, )

News: Stastny (upper body) was placed on injured reserve Friday, NHL.com's Lou Korac reports. Impact: Stastny hasn't played since Oct. 18 and wasn't expected to return over the weekend, so the move to injured reserve wouldn't seem to suggest that anything has changed with his week-to-week recovery timetable. Instead, it will simply allow the Blues to recall prospect Dmitrij Jaskin, who will give the team some more depth at forward while Stastny remains unavailable.(RotoWire, )

News: Stastny is considered week-to-week due to his shoulder injury, Jeremy Rutherford of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports. Impact: Stastny's recovery timetable remains somewhat vague, but it appears he will miss more than just a game or two. News: Blues coach Ken Hitchcock said after Saturday's game that Stastny (upper body) will not play Sunday against Anaheim, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch's Jeremy Rutherford reports. Impact: The Blues are calling it an upper-body injury, but Stastny was spotted after the game with his left arm in a sling, so it appears that he is dealing with some type of shoulder ailment. After Sunday, the Blues are off for three straight days before returning to action Thursday against the Canucks.(RotoWire, )

News: Stastny left Saturday's game against Arizona with an upper-body injury and will not return, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch's Jeremy Rutherford reports.
