News: Peters picked up a win Saturday night with 20 saves through overtime in a 2-1 shootout victory over Florida. Impact: It was a duel of backups, but that's just fine -- a win is a win. He also stood tall in the shootout, allowing just one goal. It's his first win of the season and leaves him 1-0-1 on the year.(RotoWire, )

News: Peters will be in the crease Saturday against the Panthers, Alex Prewitt of the Washington Post reports. Impact: It will more than likely be a battle of the backups, as the Panthers are expected to counter in goal with their No. 2 netminder, Al Montoya. Peters made his first appearance of the season earlier in the week in relief of Braden Holtby, ultimately taking the shootout loss to the Sharks after allowing two goals on 16 shots.(RotoWire, )

News: Peters came into Tuesday's game against the Sharks during the first period and allowed two goals on 16 shots in the 6-5 shootout loss. Impact: Braden Holtby was pulled less than 10 minutes into the first period with the Caps already down 3-0, so Peters at least kept them in the game well enough for the offense to send the game to overtime and at least pick up a point. It was his season debut, as Holtby's drawn the first three starts this year. It wouldn't be surprising if the Caps were to go right back to Holtby on Thursday against the Devils.(RotoWire, )
