News: Enroth made 32 saves Saturday. Impact: Enroth has a 3.34 GAA but his defensemen are among the NHL's worst.(STATS, 3:25pm)

News: Enroth made 32 saves Saturday night, but his teammates found no offense in a 4-0 loss to Boston. Impact: He fought the good fight, but he needed his boys to find twine. He's in for a tough ride this season. Wins will be hard to come by, but his save percentage might actually be useful given the huge number of pucks he'll see.(RotoWire, )

News: Enroth will be in the net Saturday against the Bruins, John Vogl of the Buffalo News reports. Impact: Coach Ted Nolan's decision to stick with Enroth for starts on consecutive days suggests that the goalie is sitting on a decent amount of job security, despite his woeful numbers (1-3-0, 3.18 GAA, .912). Though he took the loss Friday against the Panthers, Enroth may have turned in his best performance of the season while finishing on the wrong end of the shutout. He stopped 34 of 35 shots in the defeat.(RotoWire, )

News: Enroth made 34 saves Friday, but it wasn't enough, as the Sabres dropped a 1-0 decision to the Panthers. Impact: Enroth was phenomenal in the loss, doing everything he could to try and help the Sabres nab their second win of the season. Unfortunately, Sean Bergenheim's second-period goal was the only one scored Friday, handing Buffalo its fourth loss in five games. Enroth is now 1-3-0 on the season with a .912 save percentage and 3.18 GAA. The 26-year-old hasn't been bad this season, but the team in front of him certainly has, with Enroth facing an NHL-high 147 shots thus far. It's hard to count on Enroth with the lackluster team playing in front of him.(RotoWire, )

News: Enroth will be in goal Friday against the Panthers, John Vogl of The Buffalo News reports. Impact: With the Sabres playing a weekend back-to-back, Enroth will get the nod for the first game, but look for Michal Neuvirth to man the net Saturday against the Bruins. Predictably, Enroth has struggled behind a toothless Sabres defense through his first three starts, going 1-2-0 with a 3.89 GAA and .893 save percentage.(RotoWire, )

News: Enroth finished with 22 saves in Tuesday's 4-3 shootout win at Carolina. Impact: It was a night to remember for Enroth, who picked up his first win of the year. He's posted a 3.89 GAA through three games.(STATS, 5:10pm)
Tue. Oct 14, 2014
News: Enroth and the Sabres earned their first win of the season in a 4-3 shootout decision over Carolina on Tuesday. He stopped 22 of 25 shots. Impact: Enroth narrowly avoided a late-game meltdown after the 'Canes, who had trailed much of the game, tied it up in the third period. General manager Tim Murray is adamant that the Sabres aren't tanking, and while that may be true, they just aren't very good. Enroth should remain the Sabres' starter going forward, but the numbers won't necessarily be pretty. This was the first time in four games that the Sabres allowed fewer than 40 shots.(RotoWire, )

News: Enroth will be between the pipes Tuesday against the Hurricanes. Impact: Both Enroth and Michal Neuvirth have been under siege in goal this season, as the Sabres defense has surrendered a league-leading 43.6 shots per game. The leaky defense combined with a lukewarm collection of forwards seemingly has the Sabres primed for another losing season, but Tuesday's outing could represent a soft landing spot for Enroth. The Hurricanes have been beaten handily in their two games this season, and will be without the services of top-six forwards Eric Staal, Jordan Staal and Jeff Skinner on Tuesday. If Enroth fails to come away with a win in this one, he could be waiting on his first victory of the season for quite some time.(RotoWire, )

News: The Sabres defense allowed 40-plus shots again as Enroth stopped 41 of 47 shots in a 6-2 loss to Chicago on Saturday. Impact: It hasn't been a good start for the Sabres' revamped defense, as the additions of Josh Gorges and Andrej Meszaros has so far done nothing to help Enroth see fewer shots. Through two games Enroth has faced 88 shots, stopping 78. It is early in the season, but the Sabres so far don't look too different from the one that finished last in the league in the previous season. Enroth has some value in leagues that count saves since it looks like the Sabres defensive woes will continue. Even if the Sabres do get better, which they certainly could, the wins will be hard to come by for Enroth.(RotoWire, )

News: Coach Ted Nolan confirmed after Saturday's morning skate that Enroth would start against the Blackhawks, Mike Harrington of The Buffalo News reports. Impact: Enroth will match up against Corey Crawford in the road tilt at the United Center, where he'll safely be considered the heavy underdog to come away with a victory.(RotoWire, )
Sat. Oct 11, 2014
News: Enroth was the first goalie off the ice at the Sabres' morning skate and is expected to start Saturday against the Blackhawks. Impact: Much like last season, Enroth was hung out to dry by his mates in the opener, as he saw 40 shot attempts in the loss to the Blue Jackets, saving 37. His outlook wouldn't appear to be much rosier Saturday, with the Sabres in a hostile road environment and matching up against a far superior Blackhawks squad. Avoid using him in fantasy leagues Saturday if you can help it.(RotoWire, )

News: Enroth made 37 saves Thursday. Impact: Enroth's Sabres need to do a better job of limiting those attempts.(STATS, 1:39pm)
Thu. Oct 9, 2014
News: Enroth finished with a .925 save percentage after allowing three goals on 40 shots in Thursday's 3-1 loss to Columbus. Impact: Enroth sparkled during preseason play and won the starting job over Michal Neuvirth, but that may not be such a desirable position if the Sabres keep allowing so many shots. Nonetheless, Enroth continued his strong play before allowing the go-ahead goal in the middle of the third period, and was screened by Josh Gorges on Artem Anisimov's insurance goal. It was a strong debut for the Swede, who should get the nod again in Saturday's match against Chicago, a game in which the Sabres should expect to be heavily outshot.(RotoWire, )
Thu. Oct 9, 2014
News: Enroth will be in the crease Thursday against the Blue Jackets, John Vogl of the Buffalo News reports. Impact: It's the first career Opening Night nod for Enroth, who enters the regular season as the Sabres' No. 1 goalie with long-time netminder Ryan Miller out of the picture. That being said, Enroth's meager numbers last season (4-17-5 record, 2.82 GAA) don't give him a ton of job security over Michal Neuvirth. Look for coach Ted Nolan to use both Enroth and Neuvirth fairly liberally in the early going as he attempts to settle on a top goalie, though Enroth looks like the frontrunner for now.(RotoWire, )
