News: Coach Dallas Eakins said Petry (undisclosed) isn't dealing with an injury and will be a healthy scratch Tuesday versus the Kings, Jim Matheson of the Edmonton Journal reports. Impact: Eakins cited Petry's abbreviated training camp due to a shoulder injury as the primary reason for the Oilers giving him an early rest. Darnell Nurse will take his spot in the lineup Tuesday, but look for Petry to assume his spot on the top pairing with Andrew Ference in Wednesday's match against Arizona.(RotoWire, )

News: Petry (undisclosed) will be out of the lineup Tuesday against the Kings, Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet reports. Impact: Coach Dallas Eakins stated a desire to get top blueline prospect Darnell Nurse some game action after he sat out the previous two games, so it appears Petry's undisclosed ailment will allow him to follow through with the plan. There's nothing to suggest Petry's absence will be a long-term concern, however, so there's a chance he could be available as early as Wednesday versus the Coyotes.(RotoWire, )
