News: Malkin potted a pair of goals Monday -- including his season's first game-winner in OT -- against the Bruins. Impact: Malkin, who saw time at even strength with Chris Kunitz, now has four goals and eight points in five games. Interestingly, Sidney Crosby and Kris Letang assisted on both of his goals. It took Malkin just 22 contests to score his 10th goal; last year, it took him 33 games to do the same. The scary thing is that Malkin has yet to play his best hockey this year.(RotoWire, )

News: Malkin tallied a pair of assists Friday against the Islanders. Impact: The center endured a third-period knee-on-knee collision with the Isles' Johnny Boychuk but stayed in the contest. Malkin now has five points (1G,4A) in his last three games and seems to have finally found some chemistry with linemate Patric Hornqvist. Five of his last six points have come at even strength.(RotoWire, )

News: Malkin registered a goal and assist in Saturday's shootout win over the Rangers. Impact: Whether he's been deployed on the wing or at center this season, Malkin has been as a productive as expected, as he's tallied 19 points in 16 games. He's only sitting on a minus-2 rating for the season, but that's mostly a byproduct of the Penguins generating a significant portion of their offense on the power play.(RotoWire, )
