News: Kulikov assisted on the first goal of the contest in Thursday's shootout win against the Sharks. Impact: After missing four games due to injury, Kulikov returned to the lineup in a big way for the Panthers. His first shot on goal was tipped in by Nick Bjugstad to give him his fifth assist on the season. He also had two penalty minutes with three shots on goal and a team-high five blocked shots. Florida did not ease him into the lineup because he ended up playing 23:42 of ice time, which was only behind Brian Campbell. He also played 3:48 minutes on the second unit power play. The only concern is Aaron Ekblad has taken his usual spot on the first power play unit since he was out with the knee injury. Unless Ekblad has a bit of a slump, don't expect Kulikov to see top-unit minutes any time soon.(RotoWire, )

News: Kulikov (knee) will return to the lineup Thursday against the Sharks, Harvey Fialkov of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports. Impact: Kulikov missed the previous four games with the injury, but resumed practicing Monday and should be prepared to play his usual 20-plus minutes versus San Jose. The Panthers will scratch Colby Robak to make room for Kulikov's return.(RotoWire, )

News: Kulikov (knee) will not return to action Tuesday against the Kings, Harvey Fialkov of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports. Impact: Kulikov appears close to a return after participating fully in Monday's session, but coach Gerard Gallant might want to see him log a little more practice time before giving him the green light to play. Colby Robak will occupy Kulikov's spot in the lineup Tuesday for the fourth straight contest.(RotoWire, )

News: Kulikov (knee) practiced with the team Monday afternoon, Harvey Fialkov of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports. Impact: It looked like there was a good chance Kulikov would make it back in the lineup over the weekend, but he ended up sitting out. He participated fully at Monday's practice, though, so expect him to suit up for Tuesday's game against the Kings unless we hear otherwise.(RotoWire, )

News: Kulikov (knee) will resume skating Friday, George Richards of the Miami Herald reports. Impact: Kulikov still appears to be on track to return to action Sunday against the Ducks, as the Panthers only projected a two-game absence for the blueliner. Colby Robak took his spot in the lineup Tuesday and will presumably be called upon to fill in for Kulikov again in Friday's game against the Islanders before returning to his usual duties as the team's seventh defenseman.(RotoWire, )

News: Kulikov (knee) is expected to miss only the next two games before returning to action Sunday against the Ducks, Harvey Fialkov of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports. Impact: Kulikov fell victim to the knee injury during Saturday's game against the Flames, but he was cleared of any structural damage. He's set to undergo another check-up MRI in the near future before joining the team for its West Coast trip over the weekend. Colby Robak is set to assume a lineup spot for the next two games while Kulikov heals up.(RotoWire, )

News: Kulikov (knee) underwent an MRI on Sunday, and early indications suggest that the injury he suffered Saturday is not overly serious, Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet reports. Impact: Kulikov departed Saturday's game in the second period after colliding with Flames forward Lance Bouma. With the team off Sunday, official word on Kulikov's condition likely will not come until Monday, but as of now, it appears the defenseman has avoided a serious injury. That's good news for Florida, as Kulikov has four assists in 12 games this season and is averaging more than 20 minutes of ice time per game.(RotoWire, )
