News: Jones (upper body) was placed on injured reserve Thursday, Randy Sportak of the Calgary Sun reports. Impact: Jones was set to miss his second straight game Thursday against the Blackhawks after he was unable to take part in the morning skate, prompting the Flames to move him to IR to open up a roster spot. Michael Ferland (concussion) is expected to be activated from IR in a corresponding move and make his first appearance for the Flames since Oct. 31.
