News: Schneider will be back in the crease Friday against the Stars, Tom Gulitti of The Record reports. Impact: Schneider has drawn all seven starts for the Devils thus far, but his first rest of the season could come on Saturday, when the team will complete the second half of their back-to-back set with a game in Ottawa. Though Schneider's overall numbers thus far haven't been inspiring (3-2-1, 3.13 GAA, .898 save percentage), the Devils are committed to giving him one of the league's heaviest workloads in net after inking him to a seven-year, $42 million contract extension in July.(RotoWire, )

News: Schneider allowed four goals on 25 shots in Tuesday's overtime loss to the Rangers. Impact: An early-third-period power-play goal by Jon Merrill gave the Devils a 3-1 lead, but they coughed it up later in the period and then ended up hanging Schneider out to dry on the overtime winner by Kevin Klein. That's three consecutive losses for the 28-year-old netminder, but with Scott Clemmensen backing him up, it might take a bigger slump than that for the Devils to take Schneider out of the net.(RotoWire, )

News: Schneider will start between the pipes Tuesday against the Rangers, Tom Gulitti of The Record reports. Impact: Schneider is coming off two straight losses in which he gave up a total of eight goals. He'll need to be better if he wants to pick up a win against last year's Eastern Conference champs on Tuesday.(RotoWire, )

News: Schneider made 28 saves Saturday. Impact: Schneider has yielded eight goals in losing two straight.(STATS, 12:32pm)

News: Schneider stopped 28 of 31 shots Saturday, but it wasn't enough for him to beat Antti Niemi and the Sharks, who emerged as 4-2 victors in the game. Impact: A lack of offense from his supporting cast seemed to be the most legitimate concern for Schneider heading into the season, but instead, it's the goalie hasn't held up to his end of the bargain thus far. Schneider owns a solid 3-2 record even after Saturday's loss, but his middling ratios (2.97 GAA, .908 save percentage) aren't what his fantasy owners signed up for. This could be a good opportunity to buy low on Schneider; with a heavy slate of starts headed his way this season, his ratios should begin to stabilize in a positive way from here.(RotoWire, )

News: Schneider will start in net for the Devils on Saturday, Tom Gulitti of The Record reports. Impact: Schneider will start again Saturday coming off a tough performance Thursday in which he allowed five goals on 26 shots before being pulled against the Capitals. Despite the poor performance, Schneider is firmly entrenched as the starting goaltender for the Devils and should continue to receive most of the starts.(RotoWire, )

News: Schneider gave up five goals on 26 shots before being pulled in the third period of Thursday's loss to the Capitals. Impact: The Devils trailed 3-2 at the second intermission, but Schneider gave up a pair of goals in the first 3:25 of the period, which ended up getting him pulled for Scott Clemmensen. The 28-year-old's been a bit inconsistent so far, with a pair of one-goal outings sandwiched between Thursday's game and the four goals Schneider allowed in the season opener.(RotoWire, )

News: Schneider will be the starting goaltender in Thursday's game against the Capitals, The Star-Ledger reports. Impact: Schneider is off to a fast start in his first season as the Devils' primary goaltender, picking up three wins and giving up just six goals in his first three starts of the year. He will take on a Capitals team that's scored a total of nine goals over its last two games.(RotoWire, )

News: Schneider delivered his third straight win to open the season Tuesday, stopping 26 of 27 in a 2-1 triumph over the Lightning. Impact: Schneider's off to a rip-roaring start, and the Devils haven't even played at home yet. Jersey's offensive output dropped from 11 goals over the first two games to just two on Tuesday, but that was enough. If the Devils can find a happy medium in which they score three or four goals fairly often, Schneider could rack up a lot more wins than expected.(RotoWire, )

News: Schneider will be in the crease Tuesday against the Bolts, The Record reports. Impact: Schneider was often the victim of a lack of offense from his mates last season, but that couldn't be further from the case in his first two turns, as the Devils have supported him with a total of 11 goals in wins over the Flyers and Panthers. With backup goalie Evgeni Nabokov starting for the Bolts on Tuesday, Schneider should have a decent chance at improving his record to 3-0-0.(RotoWire, )

News: Schneider made 28 saves Saturday. Impact: Schneider has won his first two starts relatively easily.(STATS, 2:30pm)
Sat. Oct 11, 2014
News: Schneider made 28 saves in Saturday's 5-1 win over Florida. Impact: He won the battle against former mate and arch-rival, Roberto Luongo, who was chased from the game early in the second. He now has two wins and his ratios will improve with this effort. The Devils somehow seem better than we expected, so this could easily be an above-average year for Schnieds.(RotoWire, )

News: Schneider will start between the pipes Saturday against the Panthers, Rich Chere of the Star-Ledger reports. Impact: Schneider allowed four goals on 39 shots against the Flyers on Thursday, but was bailed out by the Devils scoring six of their own. He is expected to be near the top of the league in starts this season, and Saturday will give the 28-year-old his second opportunity of the season.(RotoWire, )
Fri. Oct 10, 2014
News: Schneider won his first game in goal Thursday since taking over full-time for Martin Brodeur and signing a $42 million, seven-year contract in the summer. Impact: Schneider stopped 12 of 13 shots in the third and had 34 saves overall. He played a career-high 45 games last season and now, as the undisputed No. 1 goaltender, might be expected to push that number to 65 or more - which would help fantasy owners. Schneider had a 16-15-12 record last season and posted a 1.97 goals-against average, third best in the NHL.(STATS, 1:38pm)
Thu. Oct 9, 2014
News: Schneider allowed four goals on 39 shots Thursday against the Flyers, but was supported with six goals to deliver a season-opening win. Impact: This represents one heck of an unusual night for Schneider, who didn't face more than 37 shots in a game all of last season. He didn't blow too many three-goal leads last year either. The last time Schneider had to make this many stops, he was playing for the Canucks. But it's not likely that coach Pete DeBoer has changed the Devils' system so drastically that nights like this will be regular events. Expect Schneider to face many fewer pucks in future starts; his next one should come Saturday at Florida.(RotoWire, )
