News: Giroux (lower body) will make his preseason debut Tuesday night. Impact: Giroux will return to action 11 days after suffering a lower body injury on the first day of training camp. He will have just over a week to get back in playing shape, so it seems likely he will be good to go when the Flyers kick off their season a week from Wednesday.(RotoWire, )

News: Giroux (lower body) will skate Tuesday morning and remains a possibility to play in the Flyers' preseason game against the Rangers on Tuesday, Tim Panaccio of CSN Philadelphia reports. Impact: Giroux was originally expected to miss up to two weeks when he suffered the injury on the first day of training camp and seems to be progressing quicker than the team even anticipated. Still, the Flyers could opt to keep Giroux out of Tuesday's game just to be safe, and if that's the case, he'd likely make his return to action on Thursday when the Flyers play the Capitals. Giroux has averaged at least one point per game in the last three seasons, and should remain a top fantasy option once he returns from his injury.(RotoWire, )

News: Giroux (lower body) made a surprise return to practice Thursday, participating in a limited capacity, Sam Carchidi of the Philadelphia Inquirer reports. Impact: Just six days after suffering an injury that was expected to keep him off the ice for two weeks, Giroux skated gingerly around the rink Thursday, passing the puck around to teammates and attempting a few shots. While the Flyers won't rush him back into preseason action immediately, Giroux looks like he's ahead of schedule in his recovery. There would seem to be a great chance that he's skating at close to full health before the team's Oct. 8 opener.(RotoWire, )

Impact: Giroux left the ice only 15 minutes into the first session at camp. He was selected last season as a Hart Trophy finalist, the league's MVP award. Giroux matched a career high with 28 goals and finished third in the NHL scoring race with 86 points. (STATS, 3:40pm)

News: Giroux is expected to miss the next two weeks with a lower-body injury, The Record reports. Impact: Considering that the Flyers' opening game isn't until Oct. 8, Giroux doesn't seem to be in danger of starting the season on the bench. However, he'll miss a substantial part of training camp and may suffer in terms of conditioning. With updates to come, the 26-year-old still seems to be a valuable addition at this point.(RotoWire, )
