News: Laich had a goal and an assist in the Capitals' 5-4 overtime win over the Bruins on Friday night. Impact: Plagued by a reoccurring groin injury over the last two seasons, Laich has been skating well and playing a solid game in his first preseason outings. He appears likely to play on the left wing of the Capitals' second line opposite Troy Brouwer and one of the Caps' youngsters that wins the second-line center job. It's also worth noting Laich got some time on the team's top line during a few shifts when Alex Ovechkin was moved to the right wing side. While it's only preseason, and it remains to be seen if Laich can stay healthy for a whole season, he's starting to raise his fantasy value with his production and the increasing likelihood that he will open the season as one of the Capitals' top-six forwards. He may be worth a flier in one of the last rounds of fantasy drafts given the increasing sleeper appeal he's garnering.(RotoWire, )
