News: Johnson made 21 saves in Saturday's 4-3 win over the Hurricanes. Impact: Johnson wasn't especially impressive in giving up three goals, but he narrowly outplayed opposing netminder Anton Khudobin to claim his first win as an Islander. He doesn't figure to see a ton of usage behind unquestioned No. 1 goalie Jaroslav Halak, but should represent a respectable option in the net when called upon.(RotoWire, )

News: Johnson will be in the net Saturday against the Hurricanes. Impact: The game will mark Johnson's team debut, after he agreed with the Islanders on a two-year pact in the offseason. Johnson could see a slight bump in his workload this season while serving as the backup to Jaroslav Halak, who while steady, is no Tuukka Rask. That being said, because the Islanders' supporting cast doesn't compare nearly as favorably as the defense and forwards that Johnson had in front of him in Boston, expect his strong ratios from last season (2.10 GAA, .925 save percentage in 27 games) to take a steep hit in his first season on Long Island.(RotoWire, )
