News: Dupuis (blood clot) was placed on injured reserve Friday, Seth Rorabaugh of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports. Impact: Doctors diagnosed Dupuis with the blood clot in his lung earlier this week, ruling him out for at least six months while he recovers from treatment. The move to IR will give the Penguins an additional roster spot with which to try to cover for Dupuis' absence.(RotoWire, )

News: Dupuis has been diagnosed with a blood clot in his lung and will be out for at least six months. Impact: The Penguins identified the clot Monday after Dupuis complained of chest discomfort, resulting in the winger being prescribed a treatment of blood thinners. It's the second consecutive season that Dupuis will have to deal with a major health concern, after knee surgery limited him to 39 games in 2013-14. It's looking like this latest scare could be another season-ender for Dupuis, while also putting his career on uncertain ground. The 35-year-old previously underwent treatment for a blood clot last January while recovering from the knee injury. Dupuis had been off to a magnificent start to the campaign under first-year coach Mike Johnson, racking up six goals and 11 points in 16 games. Now that he'll be out of commission for perhaps the rest of the season, Patric Hornqvist or Beau Bennett could be tasked with replacing him on the Penguins' top line.(RotoWire, )

News: Dupuis is sidelined with an illness, and not a physical ailment, Josh Yohe of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review reports. Impact: It was announced Monday that Dupuis would not play Tuesday due to an unspecified health issue, and it is not clear what type of setback he is dealing with. Consider Dupuis day-to-day and questionable for Pittsburgh's next game Friday.(RotoWire, )

News: Dupuis (undisclosed) will not play Tuesday against the Canadiens, Seth Rorabaugh of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports. Impact: Dupuis missed Monday's practice to go see a doctor for undisclosed reasons, which is certainly more than a little troubling. There's no word on a timetable for his return at this point, but there should be more information released in the next couple days.(RotoWire, )

News: Dupuis scored two goals in Pittsburgh's victory over Toronto on Saturday. Impact: Dupuis had not recorded a multi-goal game since March 28, 2013. He now has six goals and five assists this season.(STATS, 6:12pm)

News: Dupuis supplied all the Penguins' offense Friday, potting a pair of goals in a 2-1 win over the Maple Leafs. Impact: Dupuis looks to be revitalized playing next to his old buddies Chris Kunitz and Sidney Crosby, as he converted a beautiful centering pass from Sid for the game winner 15 seconds into the third period. This was a nice rebound for the Pens after last game's 5-0 shellacking at the hands of the Rangers, so it'll be interesting to see just how long coach Mike Johnston keeps Dupuis on the top line. One thing, however, is for certain -- as long as he's playing with Crosby or Evgeni Malkin, Duper is a fantasy must-start.(RotoWire, )
