News: Dupuis potted a goal in Wednesday's 4-3 loss to the Red Wings. Impact: The winger's first-period tally marked his first point in three games since returning from the scary incident last week that resulted in him being stretchered off the ice -- Dupuis was initially credited with a goal Wednesday but a league review awarded the goal to Paul Martin on Thursday. Dupuis has played his usual minutes in the mid-teens since returning to action, and as Thursday's one-goal, four-shot performance revealed, the veteran's health doesn't seem to be a concern.(RotoWire, )

News: Just two days after taking a stinger to the neck, Dupuis skated just under 16 minutes (15:54 TOI) against the Islanders on Saturday. Impact: His night was mostly uneventful -- he registered one shot and one block -- but the fact that he was able to play was remarkable in itself. Dupuis saw 1:53 TOI on the power play as coach Mike Johnston continues to utilize the forward in different ways than did former coach Dan Bylsma.(RotoWire, )

News: Dupuis (arm) was on the ice for pregame warmups and looks like he'll play Saturday against the Islanders, Dave Molinari of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports. Impact: With the usual 20 skaters on the ice for warmups, the Penguins don't even appear to be preparing for a potential late scratch for Dupuis, signaling that he'll receive clearance to return to the lineup. Incredibly, Dupuis won't miss any games after he was stretchered off the ice Thursday night with what looked to be a serious injury.(RotoWire, )

News: Dupuis (arm) said that the Penguins would reach a decision on his availability for Saturday night's tilt with the Islanders over the afternoon, Seth Rorabaugh of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports. Impact: For the second consecutive day, Dupuis was moving around without any apparent issues at morning skate, giving him a legitimate shot at not missing any time due to the arm injury. He was skating on his usual spot on the Pens' second line, rejoining mates Evgeni Malkin and Brandon Sutter.(RotoWire, )

News: Dupuis skated on Friday, barely 12 hours after being taken off the ice on a stretcher during a loss to Dallas. Impact: Dupuis could return to the lineup on Saturday night when the Penguins face the New York Islanders. Dupuis was cross-checked in front of the net by Stars defenseman Alex Goligoski in the second period Thursday night and hit in the neck or upper-back area by teammate Kris Letang's shot from the point while he was down. He complained of numbness in the arm but gave a thumbs up to the crowd as he was taken to the trainer's room.(STATS, 1:27pm)

News: Dupuis (arm) has been medically cleared to play, Josh Yohe of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review reports. Impact: Coach Mike Johnston said Dupuis would be evaluated during Saturday's morning skate, before the team determines if the winger will be available for the game later that day against the Islanders. Dupuis looked like he would be in store for a long absence after he was removed from the ice on a stretcher Thursday, so it would be quite remarkable if he wasn't forced to miss any games at all.(RotoWire, )

News: Dupuis (arm) skated on his own Friday, but didn't take part in the Penguins' practice, Dave Molinari of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports. Impact: Even though he didn't join his teammates for full practice, merely seeing Dupuis on the ice beforehand has to bring some relief for the Penguins. The winger was stretchered off the ice during Thursday's game following a check to the back that resulted in Dupuis falling on his arm and experiencing numbness. During Friday's skate, Dupuis was able to handle and shoot the puck with no apparent issues. It still seems more likely than not that Dupuis will be held out of Saturday's game against the Islanders, but fortunately, it looks like he'll avoid a long-term absence.(RotoWire, )

News: Dupuis left the ice on a stretcher in the second period of Thursday night's game against the Dallas Stars. Impact: Dupuis was cross-checked in front of the net by Stars defenseman Alex Goligoski and hit in the neck or upper-back area by Kris Letang's shot from the point while he was down. Dupuis remained on his knees in discomfort and threw off his gloves, shaking his hands before play was stopped with 6:58 remaining in the period. He was tended to while on his back for several minutes and gave a 'thumbs-up' to the crowd while leaving the ice.(STATS, 8:12pm)

News: Coach Mike Johnston said some of the feeling has returned to Dupuis's arm, which had gone numb after being cross-checked by Alex Goligoski on Thursday, Dave Molinari of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports. Impact: It's possible Dupuis suffered some sort of nerve injury, but Johnston gave no further information on the 35-year-old forward. Dupuis, who played in only 39 games last season due to a knee injury, will almost surely miss Saturday's game and perhaps more time, though the severity of Thursday's ailment remains unknown.(RotoWire, )

News: Dupuis left Thursday's game on a stretcher in the second period, Josh Yohe of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review reports. Impact: Dupuis was reportedly checked from behind and was hit in the head/neck area with the puck. The situation with this potentially serious injury should be updated in the near future.(RotoWire, )

News: Dupuis had a goal and three assists in his return from knee surgery Thursday. Impact: A fan favorite in Pittsburgh, Dupuis could prove to be a solid fantasy option once again.(STATS, 10:34am)
