News: Clemmensen made his first start of the season Saturday, stopping 33 of 37 shots in a shootout loss to the Flames. Impact: Wait, Cory Schneider finally got a night off? Did we read that right? The former Canuck had started 20 straight games, but the team finally gave him a rest Saturday, turning to the backup Clemmensen instead. Unfortunately, Clemmensen's lackluster performance Saturday is exactly why Schneider will continue to be an absolute workhorse in the Devils' crease. Even when he's called upon, Clemmensen won't be very useful for fantasy goers.(RotoWire, )

News: Clemmensen will make his first start of the season Saturday versus the Flames, Tom Gulitti of The Record reports. Impact: After starting Cory Schneider for each of the team's first 20 games, coach Pete DeBoer finally relented Saturday, letting the backup see some time in a measure to afford his top netminder some rest. Clemmensen's poor career numbers (2.79 GAA, .905 save percentage) hardly make him a trustworthy option in goal, which probably has a lot to do with DeBoer's inclination to lean on Schneider so heavily. Don't count on Clemmensen to deliver pretty results on the road in Calgary.(RotoWire, )

News: The Devils recalled Clemmensen from AHL Albany on Monday, Tom Gulitti of The Record reports. Impact: The veteran has been getting some work in with AHL Albany after a rough start to the season, but will swap places with Keith Kinkaid and take over backup duties behind Cory Schneider.(RotoWire, )
