News: Lucic was traded to the Kings on Friday, with the Bruins receiving the 13th overall pick in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft, goalie Martin Jones, and prospect Colin Miller in return, TSN.ca reports.
Impact: The 27-year-old Lucic, who scored 18 goals and 44 points to go along with 81 PIM in 81 games with the Bruins in 2014-15, has one year remaining on his current deal, which carries a $6 million salary cap hit. The trade (the team's second blockbuster of the day) gives the Bruins some financial flexibility to make further deals as the draft approaches, but in the process, they'll bid adieu to a bruising left winger, who can be a dominant power forward when he's on. Expect Lucic to claim a top-six role with his new squad.

News: The Boston Bruins traded Lucic to the Los Angeles Kings on Friday for defenseman Colin Miller, goalie Martin Jones and the 13th pick in the NHL draft.
Impact: The hard-hitting Lucic spent all eight of his seasons with Boston. He had 139 goals and 203 assists in 566 regular-season games. But he is coming off a disappointing season in which he had 18 goals and 26 assists in 81 games. Lucic can become an unrestricted free agent after the 2015-16 season. He had been seeking a contract extension with the Bruins and is scheduled to make $6.5 million next season.
