News: Agostino cleared waivers Thursday and was assigned to the Chicago Wolves of the American Hockey League, Lou Korac of NHL.com reports.
Impact: Agostino pinged the Blues radar during preseason, putting up six points before being sent down. Given that he was one of the last cuts, Agostino appears to be on the short list of AHL forwards who may see some time with the parent club.

News: Agostino was waived by the Blues on Wednesday for reassignment to the minors, Renaud Lavoie of TVA Sports reports.
Impact: Agostino has just 10 career games in the majors under his belt, all with the Flames. Originally drafted by the Penguins in the fifth round of the 2010 NHL Draft, the Yale University product racked up 57 points in 65 outings with AHL Stockton last year. If he can repeat that type of performance with the Chicago Wolves, the 24-year-old could be on the short list for call-ups should the Blues need to bolster their midseason roster.

News: Agostino has scored six points in two preseason games and will stick around the Blues' training camp for now, Jeremy Rutherford of the St. Louis-Post Dispatch reports.
Impact: Agostino, who signed a one-year, two-way contract with the Blues this summer after spending time in the Calgary organization last year, has been a surprise to Blues head coach Ken Hitchcock, who will give the 24-year-old winger ice time with "the big boys." Agostino, a fifth-round draft pick of Pittsburgh in 2010, has played just 10 NHL games (all with Calgary), but has 38 goals and 100 points in 132 AHL games.
