Blackhawks right wing Marian Hossa lays on the ice after getting knocked unconcious in the first period Tuesday when the Coyotes' Raffi Torres lowered his shoulder and connected high-speed with Hossa's chin. Torres was not penalized — but Chicago's Brandon Bollig got a double minor for roughing and a 10-minute misconduct for going after Torres. Hossa had to be stretchered off the ice.

This was the Raffi Torres hit that flattened Marian Hossa. The Blackhawks star was down for about five minutes, stretchered off the ice and briefly hospitalized. He is expected to recover completely, but there was no timetable for his return.
