Kane found the back of the net for the game-tying goal with just minutes remaining in the third period of a 5-4 overtime win against the Bruins on Saturday.
Kane has given opposing goaltenders nightmares this season with six goals and 11 points already through nine games. For reference, Kane had played 19 games last season before posting those same numbers. The nine-year NHL veteran will look to keep the momentum rolling against Detroit on Tuesday.
Kane had two assists before scoring the tying goal with 8.9 seconds left in Tuesday's 5-4 overtime loss to the Golden Knights. He got a season-high 24:55 of ice time.
It was the third multipoint performance in seven games for Kane, who is one of eight players in the NHL to have compiled at least 10 points. He's well on his way to shattering his previous career high of 57.
Kane scored a goal and added two power-play assists in Tuesday's 5-4 overtime loss to Vegas.
With just seconds left in regulation, Kane took a baseball swing at a loose puck and found the back of the net to send the game to OT. The 26-year-old is off to a terrific start this year, scoring five goals and five assists in just seven games. He's already put 39 shots on net and has averaged 20:18 of ice time, with 3:20 of it coming with a man advantage. Look for Kane to take a run at his career high of 57 points.
Kane scored twice for the Sabres in Monday's 6-2 defeat to the Devils.
The Sabres are winless but Kane is off to a fast start with a pair of two-goal games in three contests. He also has two assists to give him six points. His 43 points a year ago were his most since recording 57 in 2011-12.
Kane struck twice for goals -- including a man-advantage tally -- in a 6-2 loss Monday at home to New Jersey.
Kane and Jack Eichel seem to be the only Sabres producing during the team's wretched start. Kane's two tallies were the only bright spots Monday for Buffalo, yet he needs to be owned in all formats by this point, despite his team's struggles.
