News: King tallied the Kings' lone regulation goal in Monday's shootout loss to the Canucks.
Impact: King has helped buoy the Los Angeles attack with points in three consecutive games, with Monday's marker evening his goal and assist totals at 13 apiece for the season. He's been an adequate replacement for Tanner Pearson in the Kings' new iteration of "That 70s Line," but in coach Darryl Sutter's conservative, two-way system, King is unlikely to ever post eye-popping numbers. His value remains limited to deeper formats, even amid his hot streak.

News: King collected an assist Tuesday, helping his team to a 4-2 win over the Rangers.
Impact: With just over a minute elapsed in the third period, King threaded a horizontal pass to Jeff Carter, who proceeded to put the puck past goalie Cam Talbot. King had been without a point in 15 consecutive games heading into Tuesday's battle, adding more evidence to the notion that he's a streaky player. Still, even though he's not the King of the Kings from an offensive standpoint, this is a player who could heat up on short notice given that he skates on a line with Carter and Tyler Toffoli, a pair that has combined for 47 goals this year.
