News: Ehrhoff signed a one-year, $1.5 million contract with the Kings on Sunday, Rich Hammond of the Orange County Register reports.
Impact: The 33-year-old was very likely hoping to retain a salary close to his $4.5 million figure from last year, so this is likely a disappoint for him. He was limited by injuries last season, but could reestablish his value with a solid 2015-16. Pencil him in as a top-four defenseman for the Kings.

News: Ehrhoff has agreed to a one-year contract with the Los Angeles Kings. The team confirmed the signing Sunday but did not disclose financial terms.
Impact: Ehrhoff scored 14 points in 49 games for Pittsburgh last season before missing the final 33 games and the postseason due to injuries, including a concussion. The 33-year-old German is an 11-year NHL veteran who also played for San Jose, Vancouver and Buffalo. He has 327 points in 741 career games. He will be a welcome addition to Kings' depleted defense after Robyn Regehr retired and Andrej Sekera signed with Edmonton earlier this summer.

News: Ehrhoff has ruled out playing in the KHL or Europe this season, the Columbus Dispatch reports.
Impact: The free-agent defenseman has a few one-year contract offers on the table from NHL clubs at the moment, but is hoping someone comes through with a salary closer to the $4.5 million he earned last season. Expect Ehrhoff to find a new employer before training camp begins.
