News: Chiasson was awarded a one-year, $1.2 million contract Sunday through the arbitration process, Bruce Garrioch of the Ottawa Sun reports.
Impact: Chiasson was seeking a $2.475 million contract, but after the winger tallied just 11 goals and 26 points in 76 games last season, the arbiter determined that valuation was too high.
