News: McDaniel (groin) is listed as active Sunday versus the Giants.
Impact: McDaniel forecast active status in Week 9 with a full practice session Friday. Expect him to line up at defensive tackle next to All-Pro Gerald McCoy (shoulder).

News: McDaniel (groin) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game.
Impact: McDaniel, like his fellow teammate William Gholston, drew a questionable tag despite being a full participant in practice Friday. Considering Tampa Bay is dealing with injuries up and down its defensive line, McDaniel could wind up playing a decent amount of snaps if he is eventually ruled active, but that decision likely won't come until closer to Sunday.

News: McDaniel (groin) was limited in Thursday's practice, Joe Kania of the Buccaneers official site reports.
Impact: McDaniel, now a starter due to Clinton McDonald's season-ending pectoral injury, is in danger of missing the Bucs' Week 9 tilt against the Giants. The veteran defensive tackle has tallied only four stops on the season as part of the defensive line rotation, but would figure in for bigger numbers with the boost in snaps his new status would provide him. Akeem Spence would likely take McDaniel's place should he be unable to suit up Sunday.
