DeMarco Murray is the first running back in NFL history to start a season with seven straight 100-yard games.

The NFL rushing leader reached 100 yards on a 1-yard plunge early in the fourth quarter for the Dallas Cowboys against the New York Giants on Sunday. Murray finished with 128 in the Cowboys' 31-21 victory.

The fourth-year back from Oklahoma was tied with Hall of Famer Jim Brown, who hit the century mark in six straight games to start the 1958 season for the Cleveland Browns.

Murray has 913 yards through seven games, on pace to surpass 2,000 yards two years after Adrian Peterson had 2,097 for Minnesota.

Eric Dickerson had an NFL-record 2,105 yards in 1984 for the Los Angeles Rams.
