Michael Sam seemed to be less worried about his NFL future than pretty much everyone else.
The former Missouri star returned to Columbia and took in the Tigers' home opener against South Dakota State, despite his potential cut looming of the NFL's final cut-down day. Early Saturday afternoon, word finally surfaced that Sam did not make the St. Louis Rams' final 53-man roster.
The seventh-round pick of the St. Louis Rams, trying to become the first openly gay player to appear in an NFL regular-season game, was the SEC Player of the Year last season at Missouri.
