Junior Galette participates in Redskins team drills for first time

The Washington Redskins got their first real glimpse of what talented defensive end Junior Galette has to offer during Sunday's practice. Galette, who is now more acclimated to his new team, took part in team drills for the first time since joining the Redskins.

Head coach Jay Gruden was pleased to see Galette on the field working with the defense in 11-on-11 drills.

Galette finished with 10 sacks, 13 quarterback hits and 45 quarterback pressures, according to Pro Football Focus' game charters in 2014. He was one of the most dominant 4-3 defensive ends in the NFL, and they charted every single player to log a snap at the position.

The Redskins have a front seven rotation that includes Galette, Hatcher, Knighton, Paea, Kerrigan, Smith and Murphy. That's a lot of talent off the edge and on the interior. If inside linebackers Perry Riley Jr. and Keenan Robinson could finally live up to their potential, we could be talking about one of the top defenses in the NFL in 2015.
