Vince Young won’t be throwing passes to Randy Moss in the wide receiver’s Tennessee Titans debut Sunday against the host Miami Dolphins.
Kerry Collins will start at quarterback in place of Young, who is still struggling with an ankle injury that he aggravated in an October 31 loss at San Diego.
Collins has appeared in four games this season with one start after Young initially injured his ankle in a Week Six rout of Jacksonville. The 37-year-old Collins does have familiarity with Moss from the 2005 season both spent together with the Oakland Raiders.
Miami also will have a new starting quarterback in Chad Pennington. He was promoted Wednesday to replace the struggling Chad Henne.
With the Titans coming off a bye, Moss will be making his first appearance for the Titans since being claimed off waivers from Minnesota. Vikings coach Brad Childress cut the talented-but-tempestuous wideout less than a month after he was acquired in a trade with New England.
