Vikings QB Teddy Bridgewater wants to have an NFL career like Brett Favre's

The Minnesota Vikings know Brett Favre well. After dominating the division for what seemed like an eternity as quarterback of the Green Bay Packers, Favre played the final two years of his career as a Viking (2009-2010). If there's another Favre in today's NFL, Minnesota's Teddy Bridgewater hopes its him, according to Chris Tomasson of the Pioneer Press.

"If I could be like any other quarterback that played in the National Football League, I would have to say Brett Favre is the guy," Bridgwater said, per the Pioneer Press. "Besides the injuries and the hits and everything, he had a pretty successful career. He's a Hall a Famer for sure, multiple Super Bowls, and that's something that I look forward to doing.

"Hopefully, I can win more Super Bowls (than Favre)."

Favre appeared in two Super Bowls, but won only one of them. The legendary quarterback is remembered more for his individual accomplishments than his championships. For example, Favre was the first player to throw 500 touchdown passes, his 71,838 passing yards still stand as the most in league history and no player has matched his record of 297 consecutive starts.

Bridgewater, on the other hand, seems more driven to win titles than match Favre's meteoric milestones.

"The ultimate goal and that's why you play this game," Bridgewater said about bringing a Super Bowl victory to Minnesota, per the Pioneer Press. "You play the game to win, and that's why I'm in Minnesota.

"I want to win championships, and that's our goal."
