Time For Dallas Cowboys to Move on From Randy Gregory

Randy Gregory was all set to come back soon from his 10-game suspension. But now, he is a full calendar year away from applying for reinstatement back into the NFL.

Randy Gregory failed another drug test!

What is he doing?

They say marijuana isn’t a physically addicting drug!

Yet here he is, in trouble again because he can’t leave that bud alone. The Cowboys defensive end is now on suspension for a year for violating the NFL’s policy on substance abuse again. It all started for Gregory with a failed test at the 2015 NFL Scouting combine.

That caused him to fall to the second round of the 2015 NFL Draft as he otherwise would have gone in the first. Then he fails a test right after the his rookie season and gets suspended for four games. Then he gets a 10-game extension to his suspension for the same thing.

Gregory’s suspension was due to end next month but he failed another drug test. That’s a total of four drug tests he has failed in two years before he got his first career sack. Also, that’s two failed drug test while he’s already suspended for drug use.

I’m not the smartest man in the world but to me, that means football isn’t that important to him. Therefore, the Cowboys can’t depend on him and should move on from him. They already have DeMarcus Lawrence and could draft a base end in the 2017 NFL Draft.

Cowboys executive vice president Stephen Jones already said months ago that Gregory was on thin ice. He has failed at least one drug test since then so the ice can’t get any thinner. The Cowboys are winning without him so it’s time to move on.
