Tim Tebow will be the subject of an E! special later this year, appearing on the network that made the careers of the Kardashians, SI.com reported.
But the 30-minute special on the Jets’ new backup quarterback will be produced without his input, league sources said.
"We have a Tim Tebow special in the works that is tentatively scheduled to premiere in July," an E! spokesperson told SI.com. "Tebow is a pop culture phenomenon and the interest in his life expands beyond the world of sports. He’s a compelling personality and has a fascinating story."
News of the E! special came Thursday as Tebow told reporters that he really was getting into a New York state-of-mind and has changed the name of his pet Rhodesian Ridgeback from Bronco to Bronx.
The former Florida standout and Heisman Trophy winner took the NFL by storm last year after he led the Denver Broncos into the playoffs following a disastrous 1-4 start to the season.
He was acquired by the Jets earlier this year when the Broncos signed veteran Peyton Manning from the Colts.
