Tillman on Kuechly: He reminds me of Brian Urlacher in his prime

Cornerback Charles Tillman has shared the field with some great linebackers during his 12-year NFL career, the finest being Brian Urlacher. Tillman and Urlacher were teammates with the Chicago Bears from 2003-2012.

However, one of Tillman's new teammates with the Carolina Panthers is now giving Urlacher a run for his money. Fourth-year linebacker Luke Kuechly reminds the veteran cornerback of his former teammate when he was in his prime, according to Panthers senior writer Max Henson.

Kuechly has been wildly productive since becoming the ninth-overall selection in the 2012 NFL draft. He has started every game of his career so far and has yet to finish a season with fewer than 150 tackles.

Although Kuechly has been recognized as an All-Pro each of the past two seasons, the 24-year-old linebacker still has a long way to go to match Urlacher's legacy. Through 13 seasons as the Bears' starting middle linebacker, Urlacher recorded over 1,200 career tackles. He also registered 41.5 sacks, intercepted 22 passes and made eight Pro Bowls.
