The Latest: Denver Broncos parade through Mile High City

DENVER (AP) The Latest on the Denver Broncos' Super Bowl victory parade (all times local):

12:35 p.m.

Thousands of fans are cheering as the Super Bowl champion Denver Broncos parade through the Mile High City.

Paradegoers are packed about 20 or 30 people deep along the parade route Tuesday but still have a decent view of the players, who are riding on top of fire engines.

Annabel Bowlen, the wife of ailing Broncos owner Pat Bowlen, held the Lombardi Trophy as she rode on the first truck with quarterback Peyton Manning and Super Bowl MVP Von Miller.

Some were watching the parade from balconies and rooftops and a few climbed trees.

10:40 a.m.

The Denver Broncos' Super Bowl victory celebration is starting with an outdoor concert by a trio of Colorado bands.

A sea of fans dressed in blue and orange went crazy on a sunny Tuesday morning as the music from Big Head Todd and The Monsters, 3OH!3 (Three-oh-Three) and Funkiphino started at a park near the state Capitol.

After the show, a downtown parade will feature the victorious players riding on fire trucks, including quarterback Peyton Manning atop Engine No. 18.

Hundreds of people have been in the park and lining up along the parade route for hours.

Mark Bedenbender, who had a prime spot along the metal barrier, said the event is not only a celebration but likely a farewell to Manning, too.

The Denver Broncos will board fire trucks and roll slowly through the crowd-lined streets of the Mile High City to celebrate winning the Super Bowl.

Hundreds of thousands of people are expected for Tuesday's parade and rally after the Broncos defeated the Carolina Panthers 24-10 in Super Bowl 50.

Officials won't give specific turnout predictions, but the last time Denver won the Super Bowl, the downtown party drew an estimated 375,000 people. A year before that, when the Broncos won the Super Bowl for the first time, about 650,000 people showed up.

Tuesday's celebration starts at 10 a.m. with a concert in front of the City-County Building overlooking Civic Center park. The parade steps off at 11 a.m. near Union Station, arriving at the park around noon for the rally.
