Texans to hold joint practices with Washington

Published Jun. 8, 2015 1:20 a.m. ET

Houston head coach Bill O'Brien has finally found a team to practice against this summer.

According to ESPN's Tania Ganguli, the Texans will hold joint practices with the Washington Redskins during training camp. The two teams don't face each other in the preseason, which is typically a main factor is setting up the joint workouts. O'Brien, though, is reportedly a major proponent of the practices, so Houston and Washington will get together, nonetheless.

The Texan had planned to practice with the New Orleans Saints prior to their August preseason game, but the Saints back out, in part because of Houston's involvement with the HBO reality series "Hard Knocks."

Last season, Houston practiced against the Denver Broncos and the Atlanta Falcons, prior to facing each team in the preseason.
