Titans bench RT Poutasi against Dolphins

Miami defensive end Cameron Wake's big day against the Titans on Sunday helped cost rookie right tackle Jeremiah Poutasi his spot in the lineup.

Wake recorded four sacks in the Dolphins' 38-10 win, promoting Tennessee head coach Ken Whisenhunt to bench Poutasi mid-game in favor of veteran Jamon Meredith.

“From what I saw, Jeremiah had lost a little bit of confidence and he is a young player, a very young player,” Whisenhunt said, per the Tennesseean. “In that kind of situation, I decided to make the change to go to a veteran who had been in those situations, who had a little bit more craftiness that could stand up.”

Wake entered the game with one tackle and no sacks on the season before breaking out against the Titans.
