Titans RG Warmack to miss Week 3 with sprained MCL

Published Sep. 22, 2015 1:23 p.m. ET

Tennessee Titans starting right guard Chance Warmack will miss the team's Week 3 matchup with the Indianapolis Colts after spraining his right MCL in Sunday's loss to the Cleveland Browns.

The Titans hope Warmack will be available for available for the team's Week 5 game against the Buffalo Bills on Oct. 11. Tennessee has a bye following Week 3.

“We’ll see how that progresses,’’ Titans head coach Ken Whisenhunt said, per the team's official website.

Whisenhunt said veteran offensive lineman Jamon Meredith will start at left guard against Indianapolis. Meredith filled in after Warmack was injured against the Browns.

“Jamon did a pretty good job (vs Cleveland)," Whisenhunt said. “I mean, there are a lot of little things you always have to work on. Jamon’s been bouncing all around, but he did good for not having gotten reps at that particular position, which is his job.”

Meredith has started 27 games in his NFL career. He appeared in four games for the Colts last season.
