People have been waiting for Rams rookie wide receiver Tavon Austin to live up to his first-round billing. Over the last couple of weeks, he’s beginning to flash his serious speed.
After scoring twice in Week 11, Austin was back it against the Bears at home. On the Rams’ third play from scrimmage, Austin took a pitch from Kellen Clemens, changed direction and raced untouched down the right sideline for a 65-yard scoring scamper.
Credit the Rams for finding ways to get Austin the ball in space. The kid might just make it in this league.
