Kwon Alexander says positive PED test came from an energy drink

Standout rookie linebacker Kwon Alexander of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers is staring a four-game suspension in the face due to allegedly using performance enhancing drugs.

The interesting part? According to Greg Auman of the Tampa Bay Times, Alexander says the failed test came from an energy drink that he's been drinking since high school.

As Auman reported, Alexander is planning to appeal the suspension, but does take complete responsibility for the situation.

Here's to hoping things get worked out for the rookie, as he's had an impressive start to his career with the Buccaneers.
