Le'Veon Bell: Steelers would be in Super Bowl if I didn't get hurt
Pittsburgh Steelers running back Le'Veon Bell believes his team would be playing this Sunday against Carolina if he was healthy.
Bell suffered a season-ending knee injury in Week 8 against Cincinnati, and DeAngelo Williams filled in admirably in his absence. Unfortunately for the Steelers, Williams was also injured in the regular season finale, leaving the unproven tandem of Fitzgerald Toussaint and Jordan Todman in the backfield.
The duo performed well in the wild card win over the Bengals, but Toussaint's fumble in the fourth quarter in Denver led to the Broncos' game-winning score.
Bell, who was second in the league in total yards in 2014, told TMZ Sports from the site of Super Bowl 50 that he believes he would have been the difference against Denver and beyond.
Bell may very well be right. The Steelers are one of three early favorites for next year's Super Bowl, and likely will remain that way heading into next season, as long as all of their key players stay healthy, of course.
